Our story began at a little wedding in Kansas summer of 2013. Kyler was stationed in Fort Campbell,
KY and was visiting Garden City, KS (Binh’s hometown) for a mutual friends wedding. It’s cliche but it
was love at first sight. Our personality just clicked so well that we talked all night and end up
meeting up the next day. After the wedding, we both tried to keep in contact with each other. A
month later, Kyler and I both knew it was something special. Despite being very young and very far
apart, Kyler asked me to be his girlfriend on September 13, 2013. Surprisingly, I agreed! Our 894 miles
long distance relationship was official, and the rest was history. Two and a half years of long distance,
a deployment, and many crossed country road trips later, Kyler asked me to move with him to
Tacoma, WA. Where we eventually bought a home and adopted an adorable German Shepherd. June
11, 2018 was a very exciting day for me. I had been waiting five years for this day. It was my
graduation! With family coming to celebrate this special day with me, Kyler thought it was the perfect
opportunity to finally pop the question. After my graduation ceremony, outside of the Tacoma Dome,
I found Kyler and my family waiting for me. Kyler dropped to one knee and said : Binh after everything
we’ve been through, all of our ups and downs I know that I love you more and more each day. Will
you marry me?; Of course, Binh said yes. Until this day, it was the first time Kyler successfully
surprised me.
